Goal: Allow customers to dispense medication from the new cloud portal web, while introducing the new concept of virtual and remote storage locations.
Background
Nucleus is an inventory management solution that is primarily on two platforms - station kiosk and portal web. The portal is a new initiative that we worked on to allow more flexibility and efficiency for our customers when doing everyday tasks. My project was Dispense on Portal.
One of the tricky things about portal web was the concept of virtual and remote storage. Virtual and remote storages are ‘storages’ that may or may not be a locked cabinet. For example, a desk drawer can be virtual 1 and a shelf in an actual storage room could be virtual 2.
So - there is no location tracking method BUT there needs to be a way to inform users that inventory is still being kept in these ambiguous storages.
